Scholars are required to wear the Vibrant Minds Charter School uniform beginning on the first day of school. For outerwear in cold weather, scholars should wear the school sweatshirt or jacket. The VMCS baseball cap or beanie may also be worn at any time outside. The purpose of the uniform policy is to build school spirit, promote campus safety, and support physical activity throughout the school day.
Please label with a permanent marker all clothing items, water bottles, and other items that may be misplaced on campus with your scholar’s name. We will do our best to return lost items to scholars.

School Uniform Exceptions: Scholars may wear a VMCS Spirit Shirt on Fridays as well as special days as determined by the teacher. There are also special themed dress-up days throughout the school year that scholars may participate in. or they may always wear the school uniform.
Uniform Requirements
- VMCS logo royal blue polo shirt
- VMCS Spirit Shirt (Fridays and field trips only)
- Khaki or navy-blue shorts, skorts, skirts, jumpers, or pants
- Shorts or leggings must be worn under skirts or jumpers
- Bottoms should fit properly at the waist
- Bottoms must be at least fingertip length
- Sweatpants are not permitted
Friday Option
- Blue denim jeans may be worn with a VMCS Spirit Shirt
- Denim must fit appropriately and may not be excessively baggy
- Jeans may not have holes, rips, prints, or embellishments
- Denim does not include jean shorts, jean skirts, or overalls.
Buy uniform bottoms: available at many retailers, including Amazon, The Children’s Place, Kohl’s, Old Navy, Target, and Walmart.
Closed-toe athletic or tennis shoes
- Royal blue zippered VMCS hoodie with logo
- VMCS rain jackets
- Non-VMCS outerwear is not permitted
- VMCS baseball caps or knit caps that do not impair vision
- Hats may be worn outdoors only
Fashion Guidelines
- No shirts without collars, except Spirit Shirts
- No accessories that pose a safety hazard, including hoop earrings
- No high heels, open-toed shoes, UGG-style boots, Crocs, or roller shoes
- No backpacks, including mini backpacks
- No makeup
