Ms. Samantha Shan
Hello! My name is Samantha Shan, and I’m excited to be here at Vibrant Minds Charter School!
I’m currently the 5th and 6th Grade TOSA, meaning I provide additional support in both grades across all subjects and at all levels. My initial focus was to support our 5th and 6th Grade scholars in Reading and Math. Now, I spend the majority of my time teaching science, which I love.
I graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a Minor in Natural Sciences May 2018, and received my Single Subject-Foundational Science Credential May 2021. This year I’ve added a Multiple Subject Credential from California State University, Long Beach.
I initially had my heart set on teaching middle school science, but upon joining Vibrant Minds Charter School in August 2021, I fell in love with the community this school has built and the joy of teaching our wonderful scholars. Ultimately, I decided to stay.
When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy reading, trips to museums, or traveling to different countries. I’m currently on a mission to visit every national park in the continental United States.
I’m excited to see what this year has in store for all of us!
