Fill Out the Interest Form
Submit an Interest Form for the school year you’re considering:
2025–2026 Interest Form
2026–2027 Interest Form
This form does not commit you to enrolling. It simply lets us know you are interested and places your child in our enrollment process.
2
Waitlist or Enrollment Drawing
Scholars are accepted based on space availability, with a public lottery held for any grade levels that have more applicants than available seats.
📅 Friday, February 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Watch live on Facebook or attend in person.
After all available seats are filled, a waiting list is created based on the order names are drawn.
3
Complete Registration If Selected
If your child is selected, you will receive a call and be invited to complete a formal registration packet. At that time, you can decide whether or not to move forward with enrollment.
🕔 Registration packets are due by: March 13, 2026
If registration is not submitted by the deadline, the spot will be offered to the next scholar on the waitlist.
Grade Levels and Class Sizes
For the 2026–2027 school year, Vibrant Minds will operate from our new campus at 330 W. Broadway, Anaheim, CA 92805.
Planned enrollment by grade:
- TK: Maximum of 24 scholars per class
- 2 classes (up to 48 scholars total)
- Kindergarten–Grade 6:
- Maximum of 30 scholars per class
- 2 classes per grade (up to 60 scholars per grade)
Each classroom is staffed with a credentialed teacher and an instructional assistant to support learning and maintain a strong scholar-to-adult ratio. Volunteer support is also welcomed.
Waiting List Information
- If space is available in your child’s grade, they may be accepted directly. If there are more applicants than available seats, a public enrollment drawing (lottery) is held for impacted grade levels.
- Scholars on the 2025–2026 waiting list will be considered first for the 2026–2027 school year, based on space availability and their position on the list.
- After the enrollment drawing, new applicants are added to the waiting list in the order received.
- As with all public schools, scholars may be accepted throughout the school year if space becomes available.
- Maximum school enrollment for 2026–2027 is approximately 438 scholars.
TK & Kindergarten Eligibility
Eligibility is based on California state guidelines and your child’s birthdate.
- Transitional Kindergarten (TK):
Children must turn 4 years old by September 1, 2026, to be eligible for the 2026–2027 school year. - Kindergarten:
Children must turn 5 years old by September 1, 2026, to be eligible.
Eligibility requirements are set by the State of California and may change. Families are encouraged to confirm eligibility before submitting an Interest Form.
Enrollment Priorities & Exemptions
State and federal regulations allow the following enrollment priorities to help keep families together whenever possible:
- Current VMCS scholars automatically continue enrollment for the next school year.
- Siblings (including foster siblings) of currently enrolled scholars are accepted as space permits.
Note: This priority applies only when the currently enrolled sibling will still be attending VMCS the following school year. Since Grade 6 scholars promote out of the school, sibling priority does not apply when the only enrolled sibling is in Grade 6. - Siblings of newly accepted scholars are also accepted as space allows. If space is limited, siblings are placed near the top of the waiting list.
- Lottery drawing order supports families with multiple children.
Names are drawn starting with Grade 6 and moving down to TK. This process helps keep families together by allowing younger siblings to be considered for acceptance once an older sibling has been selected, as space permits. - Children of VMCS staff members may be accepted as space permits.
This exemption is limited by law and applies only to a small percentage of the school’s total enrollment. - Anaheim Elementary School District (AESD) residents receive additional lottery preference.
When a lottery is required, AESD resident applicants have their names entered twice to increase their odds of selection, as AESD is the charter authorizer for VMCS.
