Vibrant Minds is a FREE public charter school, funded by the state of California just like traditional public schools. However, unlike traditional public schools, we do not need approval from a separate district to make decisions. We are both a school and a district.
This gives us the flexibility to innovate and personalize learning for our scholars, including:

According to the California State Dashboard, our scholars are achieving at high levels:
- Green rating (strong performance) in Math
- Blue rating (highest performance) in English Language Arts, English Learner Progress, and Science
We credit this to our hands-on, research-based approach, as well as our belief that learning should be both challenging and joyful. If something doesn’t support learning, we adjust it or replace it.

Because our decisions are made on campus, scholars get support right when they need it.

- Allow ABA therapists on campus to support scholar
- Extra resources for advanced learners, including tutors and partnerships with junior colleges and tutors

Our on-site after school program is a major benefit for working families. It is free, held on campus, and provides a safe, structured environment for scholars to learn and play.

Families can easily share input because the people who make decisions are right here on campus and work closely with our scholars and parents. They are just in the office or a message away.
Parents have the opportunity to join the school’s leadership groups, including:
- School Site Council (SCC)
- Family and Staff Team (FAST)
- A Board of Directors must include at least one current parent of the school
Board meetings and SCC meetings are posted for all parents to attend, and this feedback helps guide school decisions. Parents feel involved, valued, and heard. We are a co-created school.
